Good participation in terms of numbers with more than 100 athletes at the start.
20 km men
It was to be the race of the return of Yohann Diniz, but it did not happen.
Suffering from an intercostal pain, after just over six kilometers of the race along with Kevin Campion, and noting that the pain did not decrease Diniz decided to abandon.
The victory went to another French star Kevin Campion in 1:21:08.
Second place went to Luis Alberto Amezcua (ESP) who walk obviously out of Championships and ends the race in 1:21:51.
These were the only two athletes finishing under 1:22:00.
Third place (but silver medal) for Aurelien Quinion in 1:24:49
Fourth place (but bronze medal) for Jean Blancheteau with the same time of 1:24:49
20 km women
Easy victory for Emilie Menuet in 1:32:00.
Only the Tunisian Chahinez Nasri tried to keep up with him during the first five kilometers, but then was forced to abandon the idea of an extra day of glory.
Second place Chahinez Nasri (TUN) obviously out of Championships ending the race in 1:34:52.
Third place (but silver medal) for Marine Quennehen in 1:38:13
Fourth place (but bronze medal) for young Clemence Beretta in 1:38:23.
50 km men
Results below the expected.
Victory for Hugo Andrieu in 4:06:42
Second place to Maxime Lecaplain in 4:21:40
Third place to Florian Mayer in 4:25:34.
