The classic 50 km Dudinska Patdesiatka 2017 start at 8:30 am Saturday, March 25, 2017 with 34 athletes and a favorite: Rafal Augustyn who has already won here in 2010, 2014 and 2016 and will look without doubt his fourth win.
But his is not the best entered time who belongs instead to Lukasz Novak (3:42:47) obtained in London at the Olympic Games 2012. The personal best of Augustyn is 4:43:22 obtained here in Dudince on March 19, 2016.
It will be interesting the remote comparison with the race of last week in Monterrey, won by Evan Dunfee in 3:46:03 currently representinge the best performance of the season in front of 3:46:12 obtained by Liu Wenbin (CHN) in Huangshan on March 5, 2017.
As usual, the 50km of Dudince also serves as the National Championship of Poland (7 athletes), Hungary (3 athletes), Czech Republic (7 athletes) and Slovakia (4 athletes).
50km men
At 10km
After a passage in the head to 5km of Aleksi Ojala (FIN) in 22:39 at 10km the tandem Ojala and Bence Venyercsan (HUN) lead in 45:11, followed in about twenty seconds from a group consisting of Havard Haukenes ( NOR), Lukasz Novak (POL), Rafal Augustyn (POL) and Chil-Sung Park (KOR).
Even more behind Veli-Matti Partanen (FIN) and Adrian Blocki (POL) in 45:58.
At 20 km
Already at 15 km the situation has changed and behind Aleksi Ojala (FIN) in 1:07:37 there are the four pursuers except Bence Venyercsan (HUN).
At 20km always is in the head the Finnish in 1:30:01 while in 1:30:30 pass Havard Haukenes (NOR) and Rafal Augustyn (POL) followed by a few meters from Lukasz Novak (POL) and Chil-Sung Park (KOR).
Half race
Tapering the advantage of the Finnish that passes in 1:52.44 under the change of pace of Havard Haukenes (NOR) and Rafal Augustyn (POL), who follow him in 1:52:49.
Behind them Lukasz Novak (POL) passed Chil-Sung Park (KOR) who has been also exceeded by Ever Palma (MEX):

At 30km
At km 29 Ojala has stopped, while he was already in fourth place.
Is leading at 30km Havard Haukenes (NOR) in 2:15:02, followed at 6" by the pair Rafal Augustyn (POL) and Ever Palma (MEX) (2:15:08).
Behind them passes in fourth position Adrian Blocki (POL) in 2:16:54, followed by Chil-Sung Park (KOR) in 2:17:31, which in turn precedes by little Veli-Matti Partanan (FIN) and the other two Mexican Pedro Daniel Gomez Cruz and Julio Cesar Salazar.
At 40km
Needless to 35km in the top three (in order Haukenes, Palma, Augystyn) are minimal (10") and after must wait over 2 minutes to Adrian Blocki.
When there are 10km to go Havard Haukenes (NOR) leads in 2:59:13 and has an advantage of 24" on Rafal Augustyn (POL).
Instead the two Mexicans pushed off and pass in the third position (Ever Palma in 3:02:14) and fourth (Pedro Daniel Gomez Cruz in 3:02:43). They were followed a few meters from Adrian Blocki (POL) in 3:02:45.
Last 10km
Between 40 and 45km changes very little in the lead.
At45km is still leading Havard Haukenes(NOR) in 3:21:25 while Rafal Augustyn (POL) follows him in 3:22:05 (40"). Maybe it will be enough to Norway for the win.
In third place is Pedro Daniel Gomez Cruz in 3:25:49 and fourth Adrian Blocki (POL) in 3:26:02, they have surpassed Ever Palma, who in a crisis slips to ninth place.
He can say goodbye to the dream of the fourth victory Rafal Augustyn (POL) who came off the 47km of 47" from the Norway, while the Mexican Pedro Daniel Gomez Cruz is firmly in third place.
Victory to Havard Haukenes (NOR) in 3:43:40 which improves his personal best of Rio de Janeiro (3:46.33) by as much 2:53.
Second place to Rafal Augustyn (POL) in 3:44:42
Third place to Pedro Daniel Gomez Cruz (MEX) in 3:48:04 which improves his personal best of last year here in Dudince (3:46.33) by as much five minutes.
Furth place to Adrian Blocki (POL) in 3:48:39.
The remote comparison between Dudince and Monterrey sees the victory of Norway to Canada

The race has a parterre totally different from that of 50km and at 5km are leading the pair composed of Genadij Kozlovskij (LTU) and Serkan Dogan (TUR) in 21:17.
At Halfway the Lithuanian has accumulated and advantage of 24"on the turkish.

- Dogan: 42:45
It follows in third position Milan Rizek (SVK) in 43:28.
Near 15 km mark Genadij Kozlovskij (LTU) increases the pace passing at three quarters of the race in 1:03:29 with an advantage of 1:41 on the Turkish which is in the second position.
The race seems to have no more history if not for third place for which they are fighting Milan Rizek (SVK) and Sandor Racz (HUN).
Do not pass the 17km Serkan Dogan who decided to stop after two red cards. Now are fighting for second place now seems to be moving in favor of the athlete's home.

20km women
Zivile Vaiciukeviciite (LTU) leads at halfway in 47:03 followed by her sister Monika Vaiciukeviciite (LTU) in 47:13.
They are followed by the two Hungarians Barbara Kovacs and Rita Recsei in 48:12.
At 15km the advantage expands in favor of the stronger of the twins wile in third position now is Maria Czakova (SVK).
