15/05/2017   World lists updated after XVIII Pan-American Race Walking Cup

The results of the XVIII Copa Panamericana de Marcha have not had much impact on the world lists of 2017.

20km men

Virtually zero the impact of the results in 20km men.

In fact, the performance of Eider Arevalo (COL) of 1:21:01 is slightly higher than the time he had already obtained at Rio Maior (POR) on April 1, 2017 (1:20:40) and would only be the 33th result of the year on the distance.

Below the updated world list of first 20 athletes in 20km

20km women

The impact of the results on 20km women was more important.
Not only has there been the improvement of the season best of Maria Guadalupoe Gonzales (MEX) from 1:28:59 to 1:28:09, but Kimberly Garcia (PER) also obtained in Lima a time less than that obtained in Rio Maior (POR) on April 1, 2017 (1:29:15 versus 1:31:00).
The Peruvian twenty-fours years old athlete with this result jump to second place in the world rlist of 2017, excluding Russian athletes who can not compete internationally.

Below the updated world list of the top 20 athletes in 20km, but still missing the results of March's Huangshan, CHN.
