This afternoon was held in Nowa Deba (POL), the Polish Championships on the distance of 20km.
20km women
There were only eight registered athletes.
The victory went to Paulina Buziak (POL) with the time of 1:36:08.
Buziak prevailed over 30" on the other favorite of the race, Katarzina Golba (POL) who finished the race with silver in 1:38:41.
Third place to Agnieszka Ellward (POL) in 1:39:39 (new personal best; previous of 1:40:59 obtained in Zaniemsyl, POL on April 5,2014)
All three of these athletes have obtaines the standard set by the Polish Federation for participating in the 2017 World Championships in London
20km men
The male race had a wider range of athletes at the start (14) with high interest names.
The favorites were two: Artur Brzozowski (POL) with the season's best of 1:21:16 established in Adelaide (AUS) on Feb 19, 2017 and Damian Blocki (POL) with the season's best of 1:21:52 established in La Coruna (ESP) on June 3, 2017.
The victory went to Artur Brzozowski (POL) with the time of 1:23:55.
