The U18 national championships in Spain took place this weekend at Getafe in the metropolitan area of Madrid at about ten kilometers from the Spanish capital.
As usual, the program included the race of girls (on the distance of 5,000m track walk) that took place on Friday and that of boys (on the distance of 10,000m track walk) that took place yesterday.
5.000m track walk girls
The victory went to Mariona Garcia Rovira (ESP) in 24:35.38
Second place to Alicia Sanchez Guilarte (ESP) in 25:12.43
Third place to Mireia Urrutia Herrera (ESP) in 25:12.88
Nineteen athletes at the start, of which 18 completed the race and a DNF.
From the technical point of view, the local jury produced 24 red cards for 12 different athletes (12 for loss of contact and 12 for bent knee).
Three athletes were stopped in Pit Lane Area with the usual penalties. One of them preferred not to continue the race.

The vicotry went to Daniel Jimeno Rivera (ESP) in 45:35.23
Second place to Eloy Hornero Gallent (ESP) in 45:50.87
Third place to Roberto Vieira Perez (ESP) in 47:47.38
Twenty-eight athletes at the start of which 21 completed the race, 5 DNF and 2 DQ.
From a technical point of view, the jury produced 47 red cards with 25 different athletes (33 for loss of count and 14 for bent knee).
Five athletes were stopped in the Pit Lane Area with the usual penalties. Two of them were then disqualified when they returned racing, while the other three preferred not to continue the race.
