22/07/2017   London 2017: IAAF revised entry standard for 50km women






The IAAF revised the entry standards for participating in the upcoming London World Championships in the 50km women by bringing it from 4:06:00 to 4:30:00.

 
 
So Inês Henriques, will be able to take part in the Championship in the distance in which she holds the world record (4:08:26).
With her can also participate in the 50km only the following other four athletes who during the season have reached the new standards with the conditions provided.

We remember women will compete with the men in the 50km.

The only condition requested by IAAF in order athletes can enter the final ranking is the one that will have to pass to 48km in the time limit of 4:17:00 which means, in practice, the obligation to do less than 4:30:00 then to 50 km.

 

Practically women will have to walk at a pace of just under 5:30/km (5:28/km) and may have the following reference times

 
10km: 54:00
20km: 1:48:00
30km: 2:42:00
40km: 3.36:00
50km: 4:30:00
