20/08/2017   The dream of a spring night turns into the reality of a mid-summer night

2017 will be considered the most beautiful year of life by Ines Henriques.

She started beautifully with the world's first recognized record of the distance of 50km women came to the limelights by the "gender parity".

But the 4:08:26 on Jan. 15, 2017 at Porto de Mos (POR) still had the taste of the stranger, the unknown, the unexplored.

Ines Henriques continues with her "Mexican campaign" faced between Ciudad Juarez and Monterrey with Ana Cabecinha in early March.

The Portuguese group led by Jorge Miguel, Nuno Monteiro and Paulo Murta always fight for head positions.

Few realize that a fatal number is approaching: 100.

The turn of the hundredth race of the 20km finished on the day when all Rio Maior was Ines Henriques made sure that what we thought was just a dream of a spring night: winning the world title in the 50km women.

But there was also the European Cup in which Portugal also had intense team interests.

But the devil put us in the queue.

A stinging disqualification, which Jorge Miguel still did not digest two weeks later, sat on the sofas of Hotel Riazor in La Coruna.

And then it seemed insurmountable the entry standard of 4:06:00 (that of men).

One word pulls the other, one suggestion pulls the other and Portugal's request for a wild card for the holder of the world record becomes reality.

The IAAF goes further and Ines's spring night dream of participating in the World Championships becomes reality. Podebrady's crying turns into a smile.

The new adventure is at the door.

For 30km along with Han Yin (CHN) to let over 2:36:00, only made of mutual looks and thoughts.

And then away to become the most beautiful dream of your life (4:05:56).

"You are alive" asks Jorge Miguel to Ines, the world's first champion in the 50km women.

She say that this triumph was not just a personal triumph, but that of a group.

Believing that she was capable of marching 50km less than 4:06:00 had to be a demonstration that she was the pioneer of women, that the limit now moves towards the unexplored, that the test will only evolve if the seven Londoners they will evolve and hopefully do so.

And he Jorge Miguel, the one who believed from the beginning, the one who made Rio Maior acquainted with the world, the one who trained for a lifetime Susana Feitor who now looks at the daisy if to leave or not, he smiles.

Thanks for the message you sent us Jorge.

We wonder if others will want to collect it.
