The day of race walk does not surprise the Games of the 29th Universiade in Taipei, with the two walk events taking place in the city center on Ren'Ai Road in the City Hall area and on the distance of 20 km.
Early at 7:00am the women and then at 9:00am the men.
20km women
Twenty-one athletes to the start with the winning struggle that is pretty simple for favorite Inna Kashyna (UKR) fresh of the result obtained in London at the World Championships (1:31:24), where she has won the 20th place.
The Ukrainian athlete sets the race on this pace:
- 2km: 9:55
- 4km: 19:38 (9:43)
- 6km: 29:37 (9:59)
- 8km: 39:35 (9:58)
To pass halfway race in 49:23 (9:48)
In the second place at half race is Xin Zhang (CHN) in 49:31 to 7", while the third athlete is Barbara Kovacs (HUN) in 49:52 but with two red cards at her charge.
In fourth place is Anel Oosthuizen (RSA) in 50:22.
The jury has already disqualified Pryanka (IND) just over 6 km.
Inna Kashyna (UKR) continues her lonely race that will see her a quiet winner.

To finish the last two km in 10:09
Her winning time is 1:39:44, definitely a training with respect to the result obtained in London.
Second place for Xin Zhang (CHN) in 1:41:18.
The race for the other medal chages shortly after 12km when Barbara Kovacs (HUN) is disqualified while she was in third place. She suffers the same fate as Jessica Pickless (AUS) while the previous lap was occurred at Katja Ponikzar (SLO).
Kovacs teammate Rita Recsei (HUN) is then placed in third position, which will stand in third place until the 17th km when Elisa Paulina Neuvonen (FIN) will finish it and finish third at 1:42:50.
Rita Recsei (HUN) will be fourth in 1:43:46 in front of Mara Ribeiro (POR) in 1:44:14
Fifteen athletes completed the race; 2 DNF and 4 DQ.

20km men
Twenty-two the atletics at the start and despite the fact that they are second-tier, we are witnessing the supremacy of the two nationals of Japan and Mexico who have presented two formations of high interest.
Among other things, the athletes of the Country of Rising Sun never left the race head even in the passes on every lap.
They alternated in head Fumitaka Oikawa (JPN) and his teammate Tomochiro Noda (JPN) to

- 6km: 26:24 (8:51) now in the company of their third colleague Toshikazu Yamanishi (JPN)

A little further behind, the three Mexican athletes Julio Cesar Salazar Enriquez (MEX), Ever Jair Palma Olivares (MEX) and Isaac Antonio Palma Olivares (MEX) are beginning to grow, who set up a first parte of the race slowet with the passage at 10km at 45:00.
After 12km, Marius Savelskis (LTU) is disqualified, while Julio Cesar Salazar Enriquez (MEX) is about twenty seconds away from the third Japan (Tomohino Noda) but he feels his breath on the neck by Igor Hlavan (UKR) who is known for his breathtaking finals
Toshikazu Yamanishi (JPN) continues his lonely race that will be quietly winner.

- 16km: 1:09:50 (8:42)
- 18km: 1:18:43 (8:53)
To finish the last two km at 8:47 and win in 1:27:30.
Second place to Julio Cesar Salazar Enriquez (MEX) at 1:28:20 and bronze medal to Fumitaka Oikawa (JPN) in 1:30:11.
Behind him in fourth and fifth place are the other two Mexican, Ever Jair Palma Olivares (1:30:23) and Isaac Antonio Palma Olivares (1:30:31).
Seventh Ihor Hlavan (UKR) in 1:30:39 (only 10" more than he had done in London thirteen days ago but in 20km split passing 50km) and eighth Tomohiro Noda (JPN) in 1:31:00.
