The 50 km. was the race which close the 13th National Games of China.
All races took place in climatic conditions at the limit but this morning it was really difficult for the athleteng competing in 50km.
So Iwe must very grateful to all those who have managed to finish the race.
Yunnan's young representative, Yang Hu, goes to lead immediately after the start.
The passage to 10 km. takes place in 47:37 and 20km are covered in 1:33.50. But the young athlete did not deal with climatic conditions and so slowly goes down.
Around 30 km. the veteran (38 years old) Han Yuchen (split at 2:21:13) is leadn.
The Lianonig provisional representative set the pace up to 42 km. (passage to 40 km in 3:08:32) when it is reached by Xu Faguang and Luo Dongpo.
In the last 8km as usual happens many times, was decided the race and this time too the final will be dramatic.
Luo Dongpo forces further the pace and passes the bell with a 10" lead, but after a last lap in total suffering the scales tip in favour of Xu Faguang (from Inner Mongolia) who goes to win at 3:54:02 (last 10 km in 45:11) . Luo Dongpo also the poke fun to being overtaken in the last 10 yards by Wang Qin.
Han Yuchern will only arrive 6th and will cover the last 10km in nearly 50 minutes.
Beyond the very bad weather conditions this 50 km. has confirmed the lack of good international interpreters for the Chinese walk on this distance.
We rember that the day winner won the 7th place as his best international performance in the Daegu 2011 World Championships and that China in 50km in its history has only won an Olympic medal and a World Whampionship with Si Tianfeng, London 2012 silver and bronze at Daegu 2011.
