11/10/2017   Santiago (CH): Ecuador win both races of 2nd South American Youth Games

In this intense weekend even in South America, and precisely in Santiago de Chile, there was an important youth event.

We are referring to the 2nd edition of South American Youth Games, opened to the athletes between the ages of 14 and 16 and which is preparatory for the Youth Olympic Games, whose next edition will be held in South America, Argentina in October 2018.

The two race walk events were held on Oct. 7, 2017 on the classic 5.000m track fir girls, while the boys raced on Oct. 8, 2017 on 10.000m track.
It is very interesting to note that for U16s, in preparation for the Youth Olympic Games, young athletes cover distances which are unusual in Europe.
