16/10/2017   Gleina (GER) - German Championships of 50km

It was not twinned with Grottammare the 50km in Gleina (GER) but there, too, on Saturday 14th October 2017, it took place the 50km German Championship, as well as other races.

50km men and 30km U23 men

Germany's Open Championship saw at the start 10 athletes (eight men and two women, one of which came from neighboring Poland).
Along with the 50km, however, some athletes competed in the German U23 Championship (open to older ones) on the distance of 30km, so at the start of the race they were in 13, plus Hagen Pohle who had nevertheless decided to test on a distance around 35km, and that it would then be stopped at 38km.

The 30km pass will see Nathaniel Seiler (GER) win in 2:20:22.
This time represents the new personal best on the distance of 30km and improves by 3:47 the previous time (2:24:09) obtained at Andernach on 8.10.2016.
Second place to Karl Jungannss (GER) ending 30km in 2:23:03, but did not improve Andernach's time last year (2:18:31).
Third place for Jonathan Hilbert (GER) in 2:23:07.
