Manresa, a small Spanish town of less than 100,000 inhabitants, located in the heart of Catalonia, hosted the eleventh edition of Memorial Eric Villaplana on Sunday, November 19th,
The race honoring the great Catalan walker took place on the Passeig Pere III on 5km distance for both men and women.
Then they were races on less distances for younger categories and masters.

Rich parterre of participants: at the start they were in 22.
The victory went to the local athlete, Mar Juan Juarez Gallardo (ESP) of the Avinent Manresa, who covered the distance of 5km in 23:29 setting her personal best on the distance (previous 25:58 set in Granollers, ESP on February 13, 2010).
Second place to U20 Mariona Garcia Rovira (ESP) of FC Barcelona in 24:42 also at personal best (previous 25:11 set at Viladecans, ESP on January 24, 2016).
Third place to U20 Mirela Urrutia Herrera (ESP) of CA Canaletes in 25:43 also at personal best (previous 25:58 set in Viladecans, ESP on January 24, 2016).
