24/11/2017   Vijaywada (IND): Indian 33rd Junior, U18 and U16 Championships






Week end of Juniors Championships (U20), U18 and U16 at Vijaywada in the state of Andra Pradesh in India.

 
Race races took place at the following distances:
- U20 men: 10,000m track walk
- U18 boys: 10,000m track walk
- U16 boys: 5.000m track walk
- U20 women: 10,000m track walk
- U18 girls: 5.000m track walk
- U16 girls: 3.000m rack walk
 
The nteresting participation in all races is a sign, as we had already pointed out last year, that race walk in India is in continuous development.

Victory for Juned (IND) in 42:59.55
Second place to Amanjot Singh (IND) in 43:26.73
Third place to Naveen (IND) in 44:36.66
 
Fifteen athletes at the start, 11 of them completed the race, 2 DNFs and 2 DQs
 
 
10.000m U20 women
 
Victory for Bandana Patel (IND) in 52:02.55
Second place for Priyanka Patel (IND) in 52:16.54
Third place for Sonal Sukhwal (IND) in 52:34.18
 
Seven athletes at the start and all finished the race

In this race there was probably the most technical result of most interest.
Victory to Sanjay Kumar (IND) in 43:05.14 representing the new athlete's personal best (previous of 44:41.31 at the U18 Spring Championships in Hyderabad on April 22, 2017).
