On the municipal track of Parchal (POR) in Algarve today was held the I Trofeo Club do Marchador.
The Trophy took place with the race system at the same time on two different lanes (in the first lane the male categories and in the fifth lane the female categories).
The distances provided were those of the 5,000m track walk for seniors, U20 and U18, while the younger categories competed on 4,000m on the track and on 3,000m for males, and on 3,000m and 2,000m for females.
The organization by the Athletic Club Tunez, which has been involved in the development of youth activity in the Algarve for almost 50 years, has always been perfect.
5.000m track walk women
The most important race of the day was that of the 5,000m track walk women in which there was the absolute domination of the Club Oriental of Pechao.
Victory to Edna Barros (POR) in 23:22.32 which establishes the new personal best (precedent of 24:33.25 established in Via Real di Santo Antonio, POR on Juanuary 11, 2015).
Second place to Laura Leal (POR) in 24:46.88
Third place to Maria Bernardo (POR) in 24:53.88
3.000m. track walk women
The results, however, by category on the 3.000m track walk see the following victories:
U23: Edna Barros (POR) in 14:15.46
U20: Maria Bernando (POR) in 15:08.95
U18: Maria Vicente (POR) in 17:18.21
5.000m track walk men
Victory to Rodrigo Marques (POR) in 23: 28.38
Second place to Joao Sustelo (POR) in 28:50.75
