09/01/2018   Canberra (AUS): Australian Open Championships of 10.000m track walk






Sunday will be held in Canberra (AUS) the Championships of Australia of 10.000m track walk for men and women.

 
The departure is scheduled at 8:00am for women and 9:30am for men when a temperature of about 23° Celsius is expected.
A high quality parterre is scheduled at the start.
 
In the women's competition the limelight will be fixed in particular on Sandra Lorena Arenas (COL), Alana Barber (NZL), Brigita Virbalyte-Dimsiene (LTU) as well as on Regan Lamble (AUS), Beki Smith (AUS) and Claire Tallent (AUS).
The entry list has 16 athletes of high interest at the start.
 
The men's race instead sees a starting list of 36 athletes.
Among all the name of the World Champion of the 20km of London 2017, Eider Arevalo (COL) stands out.
Other athletes to follow will be Evan Dunfee (CAN), Perseus Karlstrom (SWE), Yerko Araya (CHI), the brothers Ever and Isaac Palma (MEX), as well as the Polish quintet composed by Rafal Augustyn, Damian Blocki, Artur Brzozwski, Rafal Fedaszynski and Jakub Jelonek.
Adam Garganis (AUS) and Quentin Rew (NZL) will do the home honors.
