On Saturday 9 January 2018 the Christmas Meeting (according to the Orthodox calendar) took place in Kiev (UKR) with a series of indoor competitions including the 5,000m race walk for both men and women.

Excellent result of Ruslan Dmytrenko (UKR) who won the race in 18:52.94.
In second place was Ivan Losev (UKR) in 19:02.59.
Third place for Serhiy Budza (UKR) in 19:43.14
Only five athletes at the start and all have completed the race

Victory for Alina Tsviliy (UKR) in 22:55.10
Second place for Dariya Khusainova (UKR) in 24:02.55
Third place for Iryna Koval (UKR) in 24:46.49
