The U20 Indoor Championships of Portugal are currently underway in Pombal (POR) with the two race walking tests which took place yesterday January 20, 2018.

The two tests were held on the usual standard distances of 5.000m indoor for men and 3.000m indoor for women.

5.000m race walk indoor men

Victory to Ruben Santos (POR) with the time of 22:40.66 that recently (Jan. 7, 2018) obtained in Porto de Mos, on the distance of 10km a fair 46:07.

The athlete of Sporting Club Portugal, however, suffered a penalty of 30" (as a result of three red cards due to loss of contact with the ground), which therefore compromised the victory.

Second place to Paulo Martins (POR) in 22:54.55

Third place to Rodrigo Marques (POR) in 22:57.84

Eight athletes at the start of which seven completed the race and 1 DNF

3.000m race walk indoor women

Victory to Ines Reis (POR) with the time of 14:04.79

Second place to Joana Pontes (POR) in 14:12.11

Third place to Maria Bernardo (POR) in 14:40.25

Eleven athletes at the start, all have completed the race
