Yesterday in Beijing (CHN) the "less 100 days" Press Conference was held for the upcoming IAAF World Team Championship 2018 di Taicang.
The fateful date of the "less 100 days" will be the next 25 January 2018.
The ceremony was attended by the chairman and staff of the China Athletic Aassociation, and for the press the CCTV5 manager.
Representing the athletes were the 20km men's London 2012 Olympic Champion, Chen Ding (CHN) and the Women's 20km London 2017 World Champion, Yang Jiayu (CHN).
In his words, the 2012 London Olympic Champion recalled that in 2014 he had served as an ambassador for the last edition of the Race Walk World Cup.
Chen Ding also recalled that in the last five years (2012 - 2017) the Chinese race walk has obtained at the Olympic Games a rich palmares of three gold medals, three silver medals and three bronze medals and that race walk is always affirming more in China as a sport.
We add that always in this period in the three editions of the World Championships (Moscow, Beijing, and London) the palmares of China has been enriched by two other gold medals, four silver medals and two bronze medals.
Thursday, January 25th in Taicang will be present as Ambassador Yang Jiayu and in the afternoon along the 2km course that will host the World Cup Team Race will take place a "mass race" of fit walking.
