Last weekend also in Peru took place in Lima (locality Videna) the National Road Walk Championships.
The races, open to all categories, were held on the distances of 20km and 10km for the U20, while the 50km race was reduced, as is now often the case, to 35km (male and female).
The star of the Championships was Kimberly Garcia Leon (PER) seventh last year at the World Championships in London.
20km women
Kimberly Garcia Leon (PER) had no difficulty in imposing himself with the time of 1:38:03 that immediately put him on top of the 2018 season list. This result was little more than a training for a beautiful Peruvian athlete who boasts a personal best of 1:29.13 established precisely in London on August 13, 2017 at the World Championships.
Second place to Leyde Guerra (PER) in 1:38:58. The not yet twenty years old had ventured only once on the double distance of 20.000m on track past Sep. 30, 2017 in Lima finalizing in 1:37:12.65.
Third place to Evelyn Inga (PER) in 1:42:02.
