Today the Portuguese Championships of the 20km road walk took place in Quarteira (POR).
The races took place on a 1,000m circuit near the Municipal Stadium of Quarteira on the following distances:
- seniors: 20km
- U20: 10km
- U18: 10km boys and 5km girls
20km women
Another success for Ines Henriques (POR).
The 50km world champion wins the Portuguese title in the time of 1:30:08.
In second place the rival of all time, and teammate in the Portuguese national team, Ana Cabecinha (POR) who finished the race in 1:30:59, spaced 51".
In third place Kristina Saltanovic (LTU) in 1:36:29.
Fourth and in any case bronze medal at the Portuguese Championships, Edna Barros (POR), year of birth 1996), in 1:37:05.
Ten athletes at the start, 9 completed the race and 1 DQ.
With these results, Ines Henriques and Ana Cabecinha lead the 2018 world list over the distance of 20km
