20km uomini
All together of the first two laps. The pack is led by Omar Pineda (MEX) and Perseus Karlstrom (SWE).
Nothing changes in the third lap that is passed in 8:44 (4:22/km), the group is always compact.
The move to the fourth lap sees the head of Perseus Karstrom (SWE) with about ten meters ahead of the rest of the group.
On the fifth lap Lebogang Shange (RSA) catched Perseus Karlstrom (SWE) in the leadership of the race with a lap of 8:25.
The split time to 10km is 42:41
Sixth step: Lebogang Shange detached about five meters Perseus Karlstrom, which in turn has about ten meters on the rest of the group.
Seventh lap of Shange in an incredible 8:14 and increases the advantage on Karstrom that was reached by Yerko Araya (CHI).
The next round of Shange is covered in 8:17.
In the last two laps we see the recovery of Carlos Sanchez Cantera (MEX) and Mauricio Areteaga Sanchez (ECU).

Second place to Carlos Sanchez Cantera (MEX) in 1:24:59
Third place to Mauricio Arteaga Sanchez (ECU) in 1:25:10

20km women
It was almost a solo of Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez (MEX).
The Olympic and World silver, after six km of the race forced the pace and has flown towards the victory with a time of 1:27:46.
At the moment this result represents the third seasonal world performance behind the results of Yelena Lashmanova (RUS - 1:26:23) and Mariya Ponomaryova (RUS - 1:27:11) obtained a week ago in Sochi (RUS).
Certainly the temperature did not help the strong Mexican athlete.
Second place to Erica de Sena (BRA) in 1:30:47
Third place to the stainless Ines Henriques (POR) in 1:32:08.
Valentina Trapletti (ITA) also performed well in this race. She got an excellent fifth place (albeit with a not so impressive time - 1:36:18 - after the workloads in Albuquerque) behind Kimberly Garcia (PER) in 1:32:56.
