On Sunday March 11, 2018 they also took place in Megara (GRE) about fifty kilometers west of Athens in the National Championships of Greece of 20km open to seniors and U23.
The championships were also valid as a selection for the Greek team for the Balkan Games that will take place on April 14th in Serbia.
The day was perfect with a beautiful spring day with 20°C that has favored the race of athletes.
20km men
Victory to Alexandros Papamichail (GRE) with a time of 1:28:58 who also decided to compete in Rio Maior next April 7, in preparation for the European Championships in Berlin
Second place to Konstadinos Dedopulos (GRE) in 1:31:39
Third place to Dimitros Tsordias (GRE) in 1:36:11
At the start nine athletes of whom eight have completed the race and 1 DNF
20km women
The first two athletes in the order of arrival are the same as the previous year.
Victory to Antigoni Drispioti (GRE) in 1:34:44 which unfortunately did not obtain the entry standard to Berlin for only 14".
Second place to Panagiota Tsinopoulou (GRE) in 1:40:09
Third place to Angeliki Makri (GRE) in 1:44:08

Victory to George Tzatzimakis (GRE) with the new personal best (42:00) obtaining also the entry standard for World U20 Championshps in Tampere.
