Day with variable sky in Castellon (ESP) for the Spanish Championships of 20km of race walk.
20km men
A group is immediately formed with all the best and candidates for the victory.
At 5km there are six in the leading pack of the race and they pass to the first quarter of the race in 20:50.
The pace is fairly constant, but from the leading group are detached towards the 6km Manuel Bermudez (ESP) and Ever Palma (MEX).
The four main favorites remain in the lead: Miguel Angel Lopez (ESP), Alvaro Martin (ESP), Luis Alberto Amezcua (ESP) and Diego Garcia (ESP); their split time at 10km is 41:30.
In the second part of the race Miguel Angel Lopez and Alvaro Martin force the pace.
Diego Garcia and then Luis Alberto Amezcua come off first.
For the other positions Ever Palma (MEX) seems to have the better of Manuel Bermudez (ESP).
