31/03/2018   Olomuc (CZE): Vctories of Dawid Tomala and Anezka Drahotova






Friday, March 30, 2018 Olomuc (CZE) hosted the 52nd edition of the Olomuc international race walk.

The races were held on the distance of 10km and saw an intense participation at both the men's and women's levels.
Even the youth competitions reserved for the youngest over the distances of 3km and 1km have seen a good number of young athletes at the start.
 
 
10km men
 
They were in 61 at the start, which does not happen so often on a national level.
 
Victory to David Tomala (POL) in 40:22 not so far from his personal best of 40:11 established in Katowice (POL) on Sep. 7, 2015
Second place to Rafal Sikora (POL) in 41.52
Third place to Dominik Cerny (SVK) in 43:11
 
They finished the race in 59 athletes: Artur Brzozowski (POL) abandoned, while Jakub Jelonek (POL) was disqualified.

Victory to Anezka Drahotova (CZE) in 44:53
It was from 2014 that Anezka Drahotova did not dompete in a 10km when in the World Cup in Taicang on May 4, 2014 she got on that distance, with the victory, the time of 43:40. In the same year she obtained on the track distance in Eugene (USA) the victory at the U20 World Championships with the personal best of 42:47.25.
Last Saturday in Dudince (SVK) passing over 20km she had recorded on the 10km the time of 44:50.
 
Second place to Monika Hornakova (SVK) in 48:27 that last Saturday in Dudince (SVK) passing over 20km had recorded on the 10km the time of 50:13 before stopping towards the 15th km.
