11/06/2018   Murcia (ESP): Victories of Miguel Angel Lopez and Amanda Cano

In this intense week of race walk an interesting Meeting in Spain was almost unnoticed: the Grand Prix de Atletismo "Ciudad de Murcia".

As usual they could not miss in this meeting, organized by the Murcian Athletics Federation, whose president is the former walker Juan Manuel Molina, the walk events on the distance of 5,000m on track for both men and women.
Spain gets used to these short distance meetings, which we would like to see more often in other Countries.

Our thinking on this is certainly positive.
If from the technical point of view, sometimes, the short distances leave some perplexity in judging, we can not hide that from the media and promotional point of view, the race walk in these meetings is a driving force that certainly gives a great boost to the specialty.
Congratulations then to the Murcian Federation and to Juan Manuel Molina in particular: remembering our origin is always a very positive fact !
