19/06/2018   Trikala (GRE): Georgios Tzatzimakis and Olga Fiaska win Greek U20 Championships






The U20 track championships took place this weekend in Greece

The competitions were held in the city of Trikala, 300km north of Athens, in the tourist area of ​​the Meteora Monasteries.
 
The walking races were held on Sunday morning with a very favorable temperature for the athletes (23° Celsius after a rainy night that cooled the air).
 
These Championships are the last chance for juniors to obtain the entry standars for the U20 European Championships in Gyor (HUN) and for the U20 World Championships in Tampere (FIN).

Victory to Georgios Tzatzimakis (GRE) in 43:28.48 which redeems the disqualification suffered on Saturday Jun. 9, 2018 in Jesolo at the Medietranean Championships U23 establishing the new personal best (previous of 44:53.73, obtained in Patra, GRE on May 10, 2016)
Second place to Anthimos Kelepouris (GRE) in 45:28.37 gettiing the new personal best (previous 46:48.60, obtained in Katerini, GRE on Apr. 2, 2018) in addition to the entry standard to Gyor.
Third place to Anastasios Stamos (GRE) in 48:11.48
