They continue to compete, and above all continue to win, the bearers of the club of "Playa de Castellon" (ESP).
On Wednesday 27th June, Alvaro Martin (ESP) and Lidia Sanchez-Puebla (ESP) won the 31st Meeting of the Diputacion de Caceres, which took place on the track of Plasencia (ESP) over the 5,000m distance.
5.000m track walk men
Alvaro Martin (ESP) won a relatively easy victory in 19:18.32, which after 11 days recorded a time of 1:19.52 lower than that obtained at Soria (ESP) in the finals for the title of the Spanish Club Championships.
The athlete's personal best (18:39.65) dates back to July 25, 2015 and was obtained in Gijon (ESP).
Second place to Ivan Pajuelo (ESP) in 19:39.19 that in his fifth race of the season on the distance gets the season best.
The athlete's personal best (19:04.52) dates back to June 24, 2015 and was obtained in Plasencia (ESP) in the same Meeting.
Third place to Amaro Teixeira (POR) in 21:57.02
Eight athletes at the start and all have completed the race.
5.000m track walk women
Continue the positive series of not yet twenty-two (was born on July 17, 1996) Lidia Sanche-Puebla (ESP) that certainly will remember this month of June 2018 as one of the best.
After the excellent sixth place obtained in La Coruna on June 2, 2018 in 1:31:21 and after the victory with the title of U23 Champion of Mediterranean in Jesolo on the 10.000m track walk the following week (45:13.73 - personal best) Lidia Sanchez-Puebla has now won on the shortest distance in 21:26.93 not so far from the personal best (21:02.42) obtained last year (June 28, 2017) in the same Meeting.
Second place to Ines Reis (POR) in 24:05.30
Third place to Ana Pulgarin Cardeno (ESP) in 24:12.51 which obtains the new personal best (previous 24:44.11 obtained at Gijion, ESP a few days before on June 23, 2018 at the Spanish Championships U18). Definitely a great business card for the U18 European Championships to be held in Gyor (HUN).
