12/08/2018   Toronto (CAN): Evan Dunfee (CAN) and Maria Michta-Coffey (USA) NACAC champions

This weekend took place the North America Central America and Caribbean athletics championships.
The two 20km walking races were held on a 2km track on Friday, August 10th in Toronto, Hainan's Point.

There was no doubt about who could win the NACAC 2018 Championship: the highest value of Evan Dunfee (CAN) compared to only three opponents, Nick Christie (USA), Emanuel Corvera (USA) and John Cody Risch (USA).
To facilitate the whole there was also the disqualification of Emanuel Corvera (USA).

Victory to Evan Dunfee (CAN) in 1:25:39.
Only to resume the reasoning made with the news on the results of Spain in Europe yesterday

Its 2018, until today has seen him participate in:
- 3.000m track walk: (2nd in Australia in 11:28.41)
- 5.000m track walk: (1st in Australia in 19:36.61)
- 10,000m track walk: 2 races (2nd in Australia in 40:11.80 - 1st in Canada in 42:17.86)
- 20.000m track walk: (1st in Canada in 1:27:11.67)
- 20km road walk: 4 races (DNF in Australia and then 8th in 1:23:26 - 9th in Mexico in 1:27:47 - 1st in Toronto in 1:25:39)
- 50km road walk: (12th in China in 3:50:18)
This today's result is the confirmation of how the different goals of the season are finalized in an appropriate, but well thought out manner.
