On Saturday September 8th, Druskininkai (LTU) hosted an international race walk meeting also valid as the Lithuanian championship on the distance of 10km.
10km women
Brigita Virbalytė-Dimsiene (LTU) has improved the record of the race (43:02) that already belonged to her by touching her own personal best (43:01) established in Gdansk (POL) last August 25th.
Second place to Živilė Vaiciukevičiūtė (LTU) in 44:32.
In third place in the international competition arrived Diana Aidosova (KAZ) in 47:26.
The bronze of the Lithuanian Championship went to Austėja Kavaliauskaitė (LTU) in 50:44.
Brigita Virbalytė season is not over yet: at the end of September she will take part in the final of the IAAF Challenge in Taihu in China
10km men
The international men's competition saw the first two positions occupied by athletes from Belarus.
Victory to Alexander Liakhovič (BLR) in 40:51
Second place to Dmitry Dziubin (BLR) in 41.25
Both are attached by two monuments of the Belarus race walk of the decade between 1990 and 2000: Victor Ginko and Yauheni Misiulya
With his third place Arthur Mastianica (LTU) won the Lithuanian championship in 41:29 he also very close to the personal best of 41:27 established in Bristonas (LTU) on April 28, 2018.
