27/11/2018   Revised final standings of 2018 IAAF Challenge

Almost two months after the last race in China, IAAF has revised the results of the 2019 IAAF Race Walking Challenge.

The mistake was that no points were awarded at the European Championships in Berlin.

On the women's side, this did not affect the top placings but on the men's side it resulted in a new winner.

Before adjusting, Andres Chocho had won with 25 points, ahead of Eider Arevalo on 24, Lebogang Shange on 22 and Diego Garcia on 22. With his 20km second place in Berlin, Garcia now earns a further 5 points and wins the Challenge with a grand total of 27 points.

The adjusted men's final standings can be seen in the table below.
