Burjassot, in the Valencian Community, hosted the Road Walking Championships of Valencia and Murcia on Saturday, 12 January 2019, in conjunction with the dispute of the VIII Grand Prix "City of Burjassot" and the fifth edition of the "Coppa Levante".
Intense the participation in the two main competitions (men and women) that were disputed both on the distance of 10km, but even more in the youth competitions related to the Championships in Valencia and Murcia.
10km women
Victory for Amanda Cano Gomez (ESP) with a time of 47:23
The 28 year old Spanish athlete has had no difficulty in imposing herself in a completely solitary race, after a pass at 5km in 23:12
Second place for Andrea Cambre Carceller (ESP) in 49:10
Third place for Maria Dolores Marcos Valero (ESP) in 49:31
10km men
Also in the main men's race there was a solitary race of Miguel Ángel López (ESP) who won with the time of 40:18 after passing the 5km in 20:06.
Second place to Manuel Bermúdez (ESP) in 41:54
Third place to Luis Manuel Corchete (ESP) in 42:00.
Very interesting the result obtained by the very young U18 home athlete who competes for Els Sitges Burjassot (birth date Oct. 8, 2002) Jorge Lopez de la Cueva (ESP) who with the fifth place gets the excellent time of 44:27.
