The young Shanxi athlete had the goal of improving his personal best of 3:45:29 on May 5, 2018 in Taicang (CHN).
He hoped in a time around 3:42 00 - 3:43:00.
But the performance this morning was something exceptional.
He won the test with the time of 3:38:02 spacing the second arrived 3:02.
This time is also the best time in the world since Aug. 17, 2017 when in London (GBR) Yohan Diniz won the 2017 World Championships in 3:33:12.

Also for him this performance represents the new personal best having previously obtained the March 3, 2017 here in Huangshan (CHN) the mark of 3:46:12.
Just 11" after comes the third qualified for the World Championships in Doha 2019, Luo Yadong (CHN) in 3:41:15.
He also shatters his own personal best of 3:48:48 dating back to 2015 and obtained in Beijing in the selection for the 2015 World Championships on March 21st.
First of the excluded and fourth overall Wang Rui (CHN) in 3:42:08.
Wang Rui had led the race together with Wang Qin up to 40 km. Then a slight crisis led him to give up just enough to lose the third place, thanks to the great comeback of Niu Wenbin who walked the last 10 km. in 42:47.
Also for Wang Rui shattered the personal best (previous 3:48:01 obtained in Taicang, CHN on May 5, 2018).
