The program of the first day at Huangshan (CHN) also included the two 10km for the U20 at the following hours:
 
14.30: 10km U20 men
15.30: 10km U20 women
 
 
10km U20 road walk men
 
All the entered athletes of the eve show up at the start.
They are in 87: a good number that we are not used to observing in Europe.
 
The race starts very fast, but despite this at 5km are still about 10 in the lead group led by Zhao Zhou (CHN) and Wen Jiaqi (CHN) and followed by Chen Tianchai (CHN).
Shortly afterwards the three force teir pace and gradually move away from the others.
 
In the end of the race Zhao Zhou again forces his pace just enough to detach 3" by Wen Jiaqi.
Victory for Zhao Zhou (CHN) in 40:06.
Second place to Wen Jiaqi (CHN) in 40:09
Third place, detached of 3" more Chen Tianchai (CHN) in 40:12.
 
The fourth athlete (Wang Xin of Inner Mongolia) arrives after another 18" in 40:30
From the fifth to the twelfth they are all in a handkerchief (5th in 40:44 - 12th in 40:56)
 
Of the 87 athletes at the start, 82 completed the race (of which one with a penalty of 60"), 3 DNF and 2 DQ

Forty-three athletes at the start.
 
This race also sees a fast start. At 5 km, however, are in the lead only three athletes Bai Xueying (CHN), Gao Lan (CHN) and Tan Yanfen (CHN).
They have a few meters of advantage over the three immediate pursuers.
 
The race continues like this, without many jolts up to 8km, when Bai Xueying (CHN) and Gao Lan (CHN) force their pace and gain about a tenth of meters.
In the last lap, Bai Xueying (CHN) still force the pace and won the victory in 44:12
Second place to Gao Lan (CHN) in 44:17
Third place to Tan Yanfen (CHN) in 44:22
 
Two other athletes arrive below 45:00 and another three under 46:00.
In the end 42 will finish the race and 1 DNF
