The Japanese athletics federation (JAAF) has communicated the list of athletes who will participate to the Doha 2019 World Championships.

 
Below is the list of entries (by clicking on the link to, the IAAF profiles will open) and with their participation in the Olympic Games, Individual World Championships and World Team Championships (formerly the World Cup).
 
In the 50km stands out the lack of selection in particular of Hirooki Arai (3:43:02 in 2019), 3rd in Rio de Janeiro 2016, 2nd in London 2017 and 1st in Taicang 2018.
Also in the 50km the JAAF has renounced to select Masatora Kawano (3:39:24 in 2019), Satoshi Maruo (3:40:04 in 2019) and Kay Kobayashi (3: 43.46 in 2019).
These four athletes are part of the top 12 of the 50km world season list. Someone can thus realize how difficult it was to make a choice in the presence of such an abundance of results.
