26/06/2019   Nairobi hosts the seminar ed exam of Area RWJ for Africa

A seminar and examinations of the African continent for Area Race Walk Judges (Level 2) are underway in Nairobi, KEN.

The exams organized by the African Confederation of Athletics have as lecturers Jean Pierre Dahm (FRA), a member of the IAAF Race Walking Committee, and Joseph Ochieng (KEN), an African judge who took part in the London Olympic Games in 2012.
The exams, which follow the IAAF standard, were preceded by a seminar.

Very interesting the participation.
For the first time in the African continent, 21 race walking judges representing 12 countries participated.
As far as we know this is the best ever participation in Africa in the education of race walking judges.

Evidently the promotion of race walking with the impulse in recent years with the results of some top athletes has given its promotional effects.
