The two race walking events took place yesterday in the evening on the classic distance 10.000 track walk.

Excellent performance for the 43-year-old Lusitan, who had obtained better times in this distance only in 2013 (40:02.78 in Leiria, POR on 27 July), in 2011 (39:44.91 in Lisbon, POR on 30 July) and in 2010 (40:19.93 in Leiria, POR on 17 July).
