The national final of the U23 Clubs Championship is underway in Rieti.
On Saturday afternoon two races (men and women) took place on the 5.000m distance on track.
5.000m track walk men
There were six athletes at the start to represent their Clubs, but there was a great race as four of them (Riccardo Orsoni, Andrea Cosi, Juriy Michletti and Guido Scoli) fought from first to last meter of the race.
The group of the four moved to the intermediate distances with these split times:
- 1.000m: 4:06.6
- 2.000m: 8:27.5 (4:20:9)
- 3.000m: 12:39.3 (4:11:8)
- 4.000m: 17:01.0 (4:21:7)
- last 1,000m in 4:11.87
In the end of the race Andrea Così (ITA) forced the pace and has taken the satisfaction of going to win (21:12.87) on the most titled opponent, Riccardo Orsoni (21:22:51).
This performance represents for the athlete the new personal best that improves by more than 1:11 the previous best of 22:24.02 obtained in Livorno (ITA) on 14.7.2018).

The victory of the favorite of the eve Lidia Barcella (ITA), who finished her 5.000m track in 23:07.68.
