Last week Gdansk hosted the Polish Road Walk Championships for the U23 and U20 categories on the 20km distance.
The championship test was held in conjunction with the 54th edition of the Polish Postal Cup.
This last race, which took place at a distance of 10km and was also open to athletes from other countries, was certainly the most interesting in terms of results.
10km men
Victory to Damian Blocki (POL) in 42:01 which represented new personal best on the distance (previous 44:13 obtained in Biala Podlaska, POL on 27 June 2007). For the record, however, we must point out that on the same distance on the track the thirty year old Polish boasts a brilliant 41:28.68 established this year (10 March 2019) in Christchurch (NZL).
Second place in Ihor Sakharuk (UKR) in 43:28

20km U23 men
Victory to Adrian Klonowski (POL) in 1:39:29
Second place to Robert Golawski (POL) in 1:41:19
Third place to Michal Cerazy (POL) in 1:48:43
20km U20 men
Victory to Juozailiz Paulius (LTU) in 1:39:57
Second place to Tomasz Strzeszewski (POL) in 1:46:51
Third place to Milosz Oczkos (POL) in 1:50:41
10km women
It was perhaps the most interesting race, in which two athletes fought each other almost to the finish line.
Victory to Mariya Filyuk (UKR) in 44:28 which thus establishes the new personal best (previous of 45:17 obtained in Lutsk, UKR on 30 June 2019).
Second place to Alana Barber (NZL) in 44:43 also for her new personal best. This time to be improved is the time on track (45:48.49) established this year (10 March 2019) in Christchurch (NZL).
Third place, but at an enormous distance, to Antonina Lorek (POL) in 51:51
20km U23 women
Victory to Olga Nielzialek (POL) in 1:49:21
Second place in Malgorzata Cetnarska (POL) in 1:50:50
Third place to Emilia Greziak (POL) in 1:52:32
20km U20 women
Victory at Wiktoria Ras (POL) in 1:52:03
