During the South East Asia Games, the two race walk events were held in Clark City in the Philippines.

The women's race (on the 10,000m track walk) took place yesterday, December 8, at 6:30, while the men's race (in the classic 20km distance on the road) took place this morning at 6:30 local .

Only seven athletes at the start representing the following countries: Vietnam, Myanmar, Malaysia, Thailand.

Victory to Pham The Thu Trang (VIE) with a mark of 52:59.45

Second place in Sol Than Than (MYA) in 53:29.89

Third place in Goh Ling Ying Elena (MAS) in 53:38.71

All the other four athletes follow.

20km road walk men

Nine athletes at the start representing the following countries: Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Malaysia, Thailand.

The race was very interesting particularly for the battle for gold and silver between Hendro (INA) and Vinh Vo Xuan (VIE) both with a personal best under 1:29:00, which was resolved only in the final race in favor of the most experienced Indonesian athlete for 18 seconds.

Second place to Vinh Vo Xuan (VIE) in 1:31:38

Third place to Nyi Nyi Moe Mine (MYA) in 1:33:25
