This is one of the letters that are being sent to Lapland these days according to tradition and this year starts from the administration of Marcia dal Mondo.

In reality, even those who manage this website haven’t been very virtuosos in the year that is about to end, indeed we did everything not to deserve any prize.

We refer in particular to our news of April 8, 2019 when we wrote an editorial on "freedom of opinion and speech" following a series of criticisms that came to us which, of course, we did not share. Nonetheless, we canceled the news.

Then we blocked the publication for some time of other news until we were contacted by friends from Australia and Japan who gave us another push to continue.

Strangely for a strange coincidence of life, sometimes unpredictable, it happened that in the last part of the season, with one of these people who had criticized us, an unexpected and therefore even more appreciated collaboration began.

As you can see, dear Santa Claus, we too have our faults, but today we sincerely want to thank a person from whom the critical voice started, for having grasped the hidden message of our decision at the time: the search for collaboration.

This year, or maybe next year, if we don't go wrong, it should be the last of the 50km.

The writer loved and loves the 50km, and personally he would not have canceled it, but even in this case, over the years we have not done much to deserve it, with absolutely muted participations in the various National Championships to then attend interesting races also from numerical point of view of the World and Area Championships.

We hope that the future choice will be oriented towards a 20km and a 35km with four races (two for each gender).

It would really be the most appreciated gift.
