And Friday, December 27, immediately a result with a bang even if obtained on an unusual distance (5.000m indoor walk): Anezka Drahotova (CZE) established the new best indoor all-time performance of the Czech Republic in 21:44.5 (the previous one belonged to the same athlete and had always been stable in Jablonec nad Nisou exactly five years ago on 27.12.2013.
Evidently this indoor facility brings good luck to the strong athlete of the Czech Republic.
Anežka will be in Australia next month as part of the AIS based Supernova Camp.

The race of the males was much large in the athletes and saw an uncommon walker at the start, another well-known name in the world of walking.
We are speaking of Miloslav Lapka (born 1956), an estemated international judge of the Czech Republic who also acted at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. For him an interesting seventh place in 25:21.5.
Victory to Lukas Gdula (CZE) in 20:48.7 which five years ago had stopped the clock in 20:16.5
Second place to Vit Hlavac (CZE) in 21: 12.1 new personal best (previous of 21:20.52 obtained in Banska Bystrica, SVK on 4.1.2019)
Third place to Martin Nedvidek (CZE) in 22:13.7 new personal best (previous of 22:27.37 obtained in Jablonec nad Nisou, CZE on 13.1.2018).
