3.000m indoor walk women
This test could have recorded the best result of the world season, but due to an error by the referees at running events, the race of Živilė Vaiciukevičiūtė (LTU) ended initially at 2800m.
Živile Vaiciukevičiūtė did not hide his disappointment.
“I had to finish twice today, but I don't understand what happened. They showed me that it was the last lap and they rang the bell, and when there were about 100 meters left through the microphone I heard that I was walking out. I finished and immediately I saw that the time was very fast but immediately my coach told me that I had to do another lap."
The best result of the world season belongs to Antigoni Drisbioti (GRE) in 12:27.18.
Today Živile Vaiciukevičiūtė officially finished the 3000m in 12: 32.65
According to his coach Viktoras Meškauskas, if the athlete hadn't stopped, the real result would be around 12:12.
This of Živile Vaiciukevičiūtė is however the third result of the world season that we report below in the updated table
