28/03/2020   Dolores Rojas through the eyes of a child

It is not easy to smile in times of COVID-19, but I want to try to do it.

The use of technology these days has allowed me to get in touch with my great friend Dolores Rojas Suarez, international race walking judge known and respected all over the world.
I wanted to know a simplest thing from her: how she and the family were.
His response had reassured and cheered me up.

Today Dolores posted on his Facebook wall a photo received by the head of race walking of the Federacion Gallega de Atletismo, Carlos Morales, which I felt the duty to publish to report the respect that Galician children have towards the one who represents that region of the context of the world race walk.
Personally I believe that Dolores is the best an athlete can hope to find in a jury, for competence, rigor, humanity and humbleness.

Her words, which I report below, when opening the message reserved for her, describe the character:

Today I received an email from the FGA race walk manager Carlos Morales. I open it and I find this that I do not know how to explain: exciting, touching ..... I do not know who the author is, but a tear almost escaped me”.

Thanks to the anonymous child who wanted to draw this moment of race walk seen through the eyes of the innocent. I think we all need it to ease some of our tensions.
