LAZLA Athletics Meeting took place on Saturday 4th July 2020 on the track of the Miejski stadium in Częstochowa.
The program also included two walking track events:
- that of women and on the distance of 5.000m
- that of men in the unusual distance of 3,000m. with the participation of three athletes, all Olympic.
3.000m men track walk
The winner was Dawid Tomala, representing AZS KU Politechniki Opolskiej Opole, with a mark of 11:50.76.
Tomala in January of this year obtained an excellent 11:31.97 on the indoor track of Ostrava, while his personal best dates back to 25.2.2018 when at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow (GBR) he obtained an excellent 10:58.89.
His best outdoor distance record (10:56.98) dates back to 29.6.2018 and was obtained in Samorin (SVK).
The second place went to Rafał Fedaczynski, a 50 km specialist from AZS UMCS Lublin, in 12:00.53 whose personal best on the distance (11:28.76) dates back to 21.9.2011 and was obtained in Sosnoiwiec (POL)
Third place went to Jakub Jelonek, of CKS Budowlani Częstochowa, in 12:17.81, who celebrated his 35th birthday so early. His personal best on distance (11:41.96) dates back to 26.9.2012 and was established in Stalowa Sola (POL).
5.000m women track walk
Victory to Antonina Lorek (POL) in 25: 06.58 which gets the personal best
Second place to Oliwia Kurpios (POL) in 32: 17.04
Third place to Magdalena Wezgowiec (POL) in 32: 20.31
