23/07/2020   Osaka (JPN): 88th athletics championships in Osaka Prefecture






 

 

This morning Japan time, the 88th Track and Field Championships of Osaka Prefecture were held in Osaka (JPN).
 
The races took place in the splendid setting of the Nagai Stadium where Jefferson Perez signed the golden triptych of the 20km World Championships (Paris 2002, Helsinki 2005, Osaka 2007).
 
 
5.000m track walk men
 
Undisputed victory for Ryo Hamanishi (JPN) who won the title with a time of 19:53.00 thus also obtaining his personal best (previous of 20:27.62 obtained in Fukui, JPN on 8.10.2018.
In his solitary race Hamanishi scored the following partial:
- 1.000m: 3:55
- 2.000m: 7:52 (3:57)
- 3.000m: 11:52 (4:00)
- 4.000m: 15:56 (4:04)
- and the last 1,000m in 3:57
 
Second place to Satoshi Okuno (JPN) in 21:02.41
Third place to Seima Miyoshi (JPN) in 21:35.85
Fourth place in So Yoshida (JPN) in 22:45.65
Fifth place in Taiyo Kimura (JPN) in 23:04.99
Sixth place in Hiryu Mori (JPN) in 23:04.99
 
 
5.000m track walk women
 
Even in the women's race, undisputed victory for Hitomii Shimooka (JPN) who won the title with the time of 23:30.47 very close to his personal best of 23:22.07 obtained in Okinawa, JPN on 5.8.20129.
In his solo race Hitomi Shimooka scored the following partial:
- 1,000m: 4:34
- 2.000m: 9:16 (4:42)
- 3.000m: 14:02 (4:46)
- 4.000m: 18:49 (4:47)
- and the last 1.000m in 4:41.47
 
Second place to Kaede Fujino (JPN) in 24:48.45
Third place in Ayu Sawai (JPN) in 25:32.04
Fourth place in Ruka Okamoto (JPN) in 25:40.98
Fifth place in Kaede Higashi (JPN) in 26:21.03
