The Gothenburg Trophy, a 10km walking race to which the following eight athletes were invited, was held on Wednesday evening in the Slottsskogen Park in Gothenburg:

The organizer and sponsor of the trophy was Bo Gustafsson who we remember the silver medal in the 50km of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games in 3:53:19 behind a splendid Rua Gonzalez (MEX) which he won with the Olympic record of 3:47:26
10km road walk
Victory to Perseus Karlström, bronze in the 20 km of the World Athletics Championships in Doha 2019, with a mark of 39:39 (7:25 in the last 2 kilometers) which represents the new personal best of the athlete on road distance. The previous personal best (40:23) dates back to the distant 25.4.2015 and had been established in Bristonas (LTU).

Great fourth place for David Kenny (IRL), 21, who sets a significant personal best of 40:20. The previous personal best (45:23) dates back to 7.4.2018 and was established in Podebrady (CZE).
