12/09/2020   Samorin (SVK): prestigious results at the P-T-S meeting






 

 

 

Wonderful evening of walk, yesterday 11 September 2020, in Samorin (SVK) on the occasion of the 55th P-T-S Athletics Meeting.
 
Two interesting races on the distance of 3.000m track walk were the corollary to the other races.
 
 
3.000m track walk men
 
Twelve athletes at the start.
The couple made up of Miroslav Uradnik (SVK) and Matej Toth (SVK) immediately take the lead.
Uradnik moved up to the first 1.000m in 3:39.99 with a slight advantage over his opponent.
At 2.000m the passage takes place in 7:23.23 (3:43.24 the seconds 1.000m) and Toth's gap is slightly increased.
In the last 1.000m Uradnik continues at this pace and wins in 11:07.21 with the last 1.000m in 3:43.88.
 

 

 

 
 
For Miroslav Uradnik this result is the personal best over this unusual distance as well as being the best 2020 season performance in the world.

Nine athletes of the Docidi who had started obtained the personal best.
The only ones who didn't get it were Matej Toth, Milan Rizek (SVK) and Lubimir Kubis (SVK) who was disqualified
 
 
3.000m track walk women
 
Eight athletes were at the start in the women's race.
Undisputed victory for Maria Katerinka Czakova (SVK) in 12:35.99
Also for her this result is the personal best over this unusual distance as well as being the best seasonal world performance.
