19/09/2020   Kumagaya (JPN): Rain (also of personal best) at the All Japan Inter-Corporate Track & Field Championships






 

 

 

This morning (Japan time) the All Japan Inter-Corporate Track & Field Championships took place in Kumagaya (JPN).
 
The day was ideal with temperatures ranging between 25°C (11:00 am) and 22°C (18:00). The initial humidity rate was 65% (11:00) to end in 70% (18:00).
 
Two walking races (men and women) are planned, both on the distance of 5.000m on the track.
 
 
 
5.000m track walk men
 
Victory for Toshikazu Yamanishi (JPN) with a mark of 18:34.88 which represents the new National Record of Japan.
The former belonged to Yusuke Suzuki (18:37.22) and was established in Kitami (JPN) on 12.7.2015.
This performance up today represents the best world performance of the 2020 season over this distance, beating the one obtained by Aleksandr Liakhovic (BLR) in Minsk (BLR) last 1.6.2020 by 18:31/100, which is also surpassed by Eiki Takahashi as indicated below.

Fourth place to Satoshi Maruo (JPN) in 19:11.45 which represents the new personal best. The previous of 19:30.76 was established in Kitami (JPN) on 12.7.2015
Fifth place to Kazuki Takahashi (JPN) in 19:33.69 which represents the new personal best. The previoius of 19:35.57 was established in Kitami (JPN) on 17.7.2019
Sixth place to Isamu Fujisawa (JPN) in 19:35.58

Victory for Kaori Kawazoe (JPN) in 21:41.23 which represents the new personal best. The precedent of 22:05.51 was established in Kitami (JPN) on 17.7.2019.
