On Saturday the 39th edition of the classic Slovak 50km will take place in Dudince, which was supposed to take place in the spring, but which was then delayed due to COVID-19.
To date are entered:
- 12 athletes representing 6 countries (POL, GBR, GER, ECU, SVK and IRL) in men's 50km;
- 5 female athletes representing 3 countries (USA, POL and BRA) in women's 50km
Among the men's names, the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Champion Matej Toth (SVK), Andres Chocho's (ECU) and Alex Wright's (IRL) stand out.
Also noteworthy are the Polish and German teams.
Among the names of women, the most well-known name is that of Erica Rocha De Sena (BRA), life partner of Andres Chocho, who last season in Dudince was most likely forced to abandon it by initial choice. We'll see if this year the strong Brazilian athlete will have the desire to complete the race.
