Today Trnava in Slovakia hosted the 2020 edition of the Slovak 50km Championship.
This year, however, the choice of the Slovakian federation was to race on the track (125 laps) and the intermediate milestones of the following were added to the 50,000m track walk test:
- 35,000m track walk
- 30,000m track walk
- 2 hours of walking
- 20,000m track walk
- 10,000m track walk
- 5.000m track walk
We don't see races of this kind very often, quite the contrary, but the charm of a 50km track is one of those races that should be part of the technical background of any long-distance walker. The walkers completed 125 laps on the 400-meter track of the Anton Hajmássy Municipal Stadium in Trnava.
